FAQ
Oqulto is an invisible speaker with patented technology that works using the lining or any flat surface as if it were the frontal radiation cone.
In practically any type of installation, from residential to commercial and corporate. The Oqulto can work with a dedicated amplifier or integrate into larger systems and other types of speakers.
In addition to its unique predicate of “invisibility”, the main difference is that conventional speakers use cones made of cardboard, fibers or polypropylene, while Oqulto uses continuous linings or ceilings formed by plaster, wood, drywall to be transformed into “cones”. and mineral fibers.
The axial sensitivity of the oquelto is 74 dB SPL/ 0 dBW/ 1m
The maximum power rating of the Oqulto is 18 watts rms, or 25 watts rms with appropriate crossover filtering. At peak, it can handle 50 watts without crossover and 75 watts with crossover.
The frequency response of the oqulto @ -10 dB is 70 Hz to 14 kHz without crossover and 160 Hz to 14 kHz with crossover.
ceiling height 2.0m – 16 m²
ceiling height 2.5m – 25 m²
ceiling height 2.7m – 30 m²
ceiling height 3.0m – 36 m²
ceiling height 3.5m – 49 m²
ceiling height 4.0m – 64 m²
LUDK does not recommend installing Oqulto when the ceiling height is greater than 4.0 meters.
Oqulto works best on continuous ceilings or ceilings made of plasterboard, wood, drywall and mineral fiber. Its thickness must not exceed ¾”, or 20mm.
We recommend using Oqulto with amplifiers of 30 to 60 watts per channel. Oqulto can be used in parallel (4 ohms) on the same channel. We do not recommend using Oqulto in series.
You can also use high impedance/constant voltage amplifiers, on 70 volt, 100 volt, 140 volt lines. In these cases, using line transformers for moving coils.
The same as for any other ambient sound installations, with quality. That is: the entire conduit network, its terminal boxes, inspection boxes, passage boxes, etc. Clean energy forecast, without peaks and anomalies, properly sized cabling. And, above all, the installation is carried out properly with well-trained labor.
The Disqreto subwoofer adds body to the ambient sound, with two more octaves of bass frequencies that it adds to the sound of the Oqultos. Using it, therefore, is just a matter of including it in the project. As it is an active subwoofer, it is not necessary to use more amplifier channels.
OQULTO / OQULTO NEO
Oqulto is an innovative speaker that moves in conjunction with flat panels to transfer sound. Therefore, it can be installed on the back of ceilings and partitions made of different materials, making the sound source disappear, thus creating an immersive and invisible perception.
Oqulto can be installed in a series of already tested and approved materials. Such as:
- Drywall
- Mineral Fiber (Armstrong)
- Plaster
- Wood (various types)
- Eucatex
- Cementitious Board

No, the surface where Oqulto is installed must have a maximum thickness of 40mm (4 cm).
The recommended glue is a two-component epoxy adhesive for professional use with high adhesion power (Araldite Hobby or similar), which is already included in the Oqulto installation kit.
Ludk works with companies specializing in audio, video and room automation to ensure the correct installation of their products. This training can be done in person or virtually with prior scheduling.
The sound of Oqulto changes depending on the surface and condition of the environment where it is installed. It is recommended to use a high-pass filter with a transition at 100 Hz and a slope of 12 or 18 dB/octave. Linkwitz-Riley filter.
It is also recommended to perform equalization to adjust the sound in the environment.
*See Easy DSP product.
As Oqulto is "protected" by the lining or partition, thus preventing it from being exposed to the elements, it has a very long useful life. There are Oqultos installed for over 10 years and in perfect working order. It is important that the technical specifications of amplification and filters are respected. It is also recommended that the Oqulto be installed close to an access route, such as a maintenance hatch or light fixture, for possible maintenance.
As Oqulto needs to be glued to the boards to transfer the sound, it is not advisable that, once installed, it be removed for use in other locations. If necessary, removal must be done very carefully, so as not to damage the product's mobile assembly. If the Oqulto is uninstalled and damaged, it can be sent to Ludk for a maintenance assessment, a service that has an additional cost and is not covered by the warranty.
YES! It is essential that the five support points (feet and coupler) are 100% glued, so that the sound transfer is complete. If one or more points are not glued, Oqulto will not work correctly.
YES! However, it is recommended that gluing to the board be done in a horizontal position, to facilitate the process.
It is not recommended for use in Home Theater systems, as the Oqulto's sound effect is not directional.

YES, as long as the surface has a maximum thickness of 40mm (4 cm).
Oqulto is recommended for ambient sound systems, where 25W is sufficient.
The recommended amplification for each Oqulto is 25W RMS to make the sound pleasant.
SEQRETO
Seqreto is a set of speakers mounted in a wooden cabinet that uses 3 mm thick rigid flat diaphragm technology to reproduce sound. Its design was designed to fit into ceiling or drywall installations, being fixed to the existing uprights themselves, replacing the surface equivalent to the plate area. Once installed, Seqreto sits flush with the drywall sheets and receives the same paint finish or decorative coating as the room, making it completely invisible.
Seqreto must be installed exclusively in wall or drywall ceiling installations.
The recommended glue is a two-component epoxy adhesive for professional use with high adhesion power (Araldite Hobby or similar), which is already included in the Oqulto installation kit.
